Poetry: My Sons

Sometimes my sons are Children of the Sun,
Intense and radiant,
Excited and streaming with energy.

Sometimes my sons are Children of the Stars,
Steady and ever-present,
Independent and limitless.

Sometimes my sons are Children of the Moon,
Cool and distant,
Not avoiding but not reaching out.

Sometimes my sons are Children of Venus,
Affectionate and loving,
Close and considerate.

Sometimes my sons are Children of Mars,
Defiant and challenging,
Determined and strong-willed.

Sometimes my sons are Children of Jupiter,
Deep and mysterious,
Dramatic and powerful.

Sometimes my sons are Children of Saturn,
Beautiful and creative,
Delicate and fragile.

Sometimes my sons are Children of the Comet,
Wandering,
Curious, investigating.

Sometimes my sons are Children of the Meteor,
Suddenly chaotic,
Violent and majestic.

My sons are Children of the Earth,
Solid and grounded,
Resilient and self-confident,
Children of creation.
